Do you do any foreclosers for Cochise county?
I have a CP (2009 tax)that I bought from the county this year2011. I paid the 2010 tax, and I think the original lien on the property was for the 2008 tax. I have a receipt for the 2008 redemption cert.
So my question is how long before I can forclose on this property?
Thanks you
-Aaron
Aaron, we handle foreclosures statewide. A CP is eligible for foreclosure three years from the date that it is first available for sale. In Arizona, CPs are first made available for sale in February of the year that is two years after the tax year. The CP you mention in your post, starting with the 2008 tax year, would first have been made available for sale in February 2010. Therefore, the earliest that you will be able to foreclose will be in February of 2013. Thanks for the post!
We are about to pay the third year taxes on a property and would like to know the next steps to evicting the owners or tennants and taking over the property. Also would be interested in any resources that would help. Attorneys etc if necessary.
